Enhanced Security for Online Transactions
At USF Federal Credit Union, online security is a top priority. To further decrease the chances of fraud, we will be changing the way members log onto their accounts.
Effective February 4, 2008
On February 4, 2008, USF Federal Credit Union implemented a new cyberteller security feature called eStamp.
eStamp is a security feature that enables you to verify that you are communicating with the USF Federal Credit Union website and not with someone else. From now on whenever you login to cyberteller, your personal eStamp will be displayed. Only after you verify that your eStamp is correct, will you be asked for your password.
Your eStamp consists of a personal image and phrase that will be displayed whenever you login to cyberteller. You will verify that your eStamp is correct, just as the credit union verifies your user name and password before allowing you to enter your account. Only after you verify that your eStamp is correct, will you be asked for your password.
Your chosen eStamp image and phrase will be displayed before typing in your cyberteller password.
Effective June 27, 2007
As of June 27, 2007 all cyberteller users will be required to use a “user name” instead of their account number to log on. While our members’ information has always been secure, eliminating the use of account numbers to log on increases protection against fraudulent attacks relating to identity theft.
If you have not established a user name for each of your accounts, you will be prompted to create a user name the next time you attempt to log onto cyberteller (on 6/27/07). Your user name must start with a letter of the alphabet, must be at least 8 characters long and must contain only letters and numbers (no special symbols).
In addition, if the cyberteller system detects a suspicious log-in it will automatically present you with a series of challenge questions that you will have pre-selected.
